Trends
A significant return to metal frames in the versace women’s range. simple yet effective designs with
the wrap-around form prevailing. a decisive departure from the mono-lens mask. curved lines and moderate sizes.
of particular interest is the n86 (see slide), presented in the latest women’s fw03-4 runway show and available
with or without swarovski crystal decoration.
Contrarily, the trends for men offer angular frames in acetate, as in model 4007, previewed in the
latest mens' fw03-4 show, though all styles, be they masculine or feminine, share a common denominator:
their extreme lightness.
Brand imaging is consistent, but attains a new simplicity that is at once chic and luxurious.
Half-medusa logos are applied to the edge of one lens in the n86 (see slide), or in the more
masculine models just the simpler versace logo in writing is employed.
Some women’s styles have become real ‘jewels’, with the addition of delicate crystal details,
but with no compromise to technical advancement.
